Thank you for your interest in this meetup. Please note that event details may be subject to change. Please check this page regularly for the latest information.

There will be a minimum donation of AED 20 to cover club costs.

We are pleased to announce that for the first time, we will be holding meetups at an actual photographic studio!

Agenda:

19:00 Announcements and introduction

19:15 Discussion Topic: Photobooth Fun!
Members Andy Lalaguna, Adel Abdelrahman, Brian Donegan, and Amjad Ali will all describe their work during EPyC's July series of photobooth events. Each of them will talk about their setup before showing you some of the best pictures they produced. When they finish, members will have a chance to ask them questions.

20:30 Break

20:45 The Tuesday tip
Ashraf Jandali dispenses advice on how to improve your photographs.

21:00 Photo Competition (Theme: HDR and Digital Blending)
Please send us up to two of your images by email ([masked]) before 7 PM the night before the event. To make our lives easier, please rename the files so that they have your name in them, e.g. Ahmed1.JPG and Ahmed2.JPG. We all vote on who has done the best job, and the winner gets a prize. We will not accept photo submissions on the day. If you don't show up, your photo will also not be eligible for a prize.

The hunt for a new location s always exciting - and then - to find Studio Attitude - tucked away in a dark lane between carpentry shops and auto repair garages - adds to the romance. Thanks EPyC !!

I have uploaded a few photos - with Adel, Ashraf, Nilu, Daniel and a few more........

I would like to apologize for the inconvenience which some of you have faced in finding the place and I promise to provide a clear location map with all the possible landmarks and some photos to assist everyone to reach the location easily... On the other hand I would like to Thank Amjad Ali and STUDIO ATTITUDE staff for all their efforts to host this event. Adel and Andy you guys rock! It's always a pleasure listening to you and you made this event fun as much as the photooth. Last but not least thanks to everyone for attending this event.

Unable to find the place although it shows me I am on it on the map. Is it near Equilibrium Productions, or Al Reem Celeing and Marbles?

      September 2, 2013

    • Kirit R.

Everything is at walking distance, this is good enough to cover in 20 minutes?

      September 3, 2013

  • Amr

Guys we haven't received many photos for the competition... read the details in the event description and send your entries at the earliest!

    September 2, 2013

    • Mohamed S.

I had to reduce the size.

      September 2, 2013

    • Amr

If you couldn't attach the photos you can reduce the size but please keep it at least 2MP so it will be clear on the screen... otherwise you can always send the original size

      September 2, 2013

  • Ali A.

Could anyone help me to get a clear idea on the location..?

    September 2, 2013

  • Daniel H.

What size should the jpg files be?

    September 2, 2013

    • Ali A.

Depends on what ur purpose is. If youre sending via email,it should be accordingly. The higher the file size, the better the resolution
The lower results in the picture being too lossy

      September 2, 2013

    • Daniel H.

Thanks Ali, I sent for tomorrow night via outlook.com to the gmail account above - I just there was a certain size needed, as my original sizes are very large for email. I'll have originals with me, regardless. Cheer
