Coffee and Critique

One of the best ways to learn how to take better images is to look at your work as others see it. At this meetup, we will go over everyone's work, one picture at a time, and talk about what we like and what we think could use improvement. Please bring along two of your images on a USB flash drive. In order for the critique to be useful, please bring images you believe have some merit, rather than just snapshots of random scenes.

To save everyone time on the day of the event, please bring JPG images under 7 MB in size and include your name in the file, e.g. Ahmed1.JPG and Ahmed2.JPG. Please note that your pictures may be uploaded to Meetup/Facebook after the event for others to look at, and to help us create an archive of past submissions.

Venue information:

Coffee and Critique is now being held at the Cribb, in Al Quoz. You can use the following GPS coordinates: [masked], 55.224947. If you need help finding us, call the EPyC hotline [masked]), but please note that the event starts at 6:30 PM sharp, and we may not be able to answer calls after that time.

As a first timer, this was quite a refreshing experience for me. Some great collections of interesting photographs and experiences witnessed.
However, is it possible everyone share their links/pages for online albums or portfolios, so we could look at more interesting stuff even between the meet ups! Here's mine: 500px.com/rohalkohyar

    Cheers

Hidden talented skills began to appear in the group. I propose to held the gathering every week not every two weeks. Ramadan coming and it will be hard to attend it. Hope that organisers consider that.

Raouf, thank you for your comment; it seems to indicate Coffee and Critique is going well. Your organizers, all of whom have day jobs, are already putting together one regularly scheduled event every week (between this and the biweekly), in addition to photowalks, training, etc. We are trying to create as many different types of activities as we can manage so that different people can benefit from different things.

Remember that we'll be at a new venue today, so give look up the location before heading out, and give yourself plenty of time to get there.

      Directions here:
      https://www.google.ae/...

You may find it easiest to leave your number here and see if someone can pick you up from either that station or the First Gulf Bank one.
