I come from Blyth in Northumberland, which is the most northern county of England. It borders Scotland. It is a fantastic place for taking photographs as we have nearby Holy Island of Lindisfarne - famous for the Lindisfarne Gospels and also castles of Bamburgh, Warkworth and Alnwick Castle (used in the Harry Potter movies). I am new to Dubai and will be living in Discovery Gardens nar to the Ibn Battuta mall. I will be working as a Chemistry teacher in Dubai. I love photography and got into it as a traveller who has been to over 50 different countries worldwide. I own a Nikon 5100 camera with Sigma Tamron and Nikon lenses. I enjoy taking photographs of ancient buildings or landscapes in monochrome and obviously colour photographs as part of my travel journal.
Not really - I enjoy taking monochrome photographs when I am in Northumberland or Venice. I am hoping to improve taking photographs in general as I enjoy to travel as much as possible and the idea of taking photographs of developing Dubai, along with scenery in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and even of breathtaking Oman seems very appealing to me
Lens selection, taking indoor photographs, how to edit my raw images and basically how to get the most out of the camera I have. I started with a D60 and feel the 5100 is a much better camera and need to know which camera to purchase next, after I have become a more skilled photographer
Unfortunately not as I am still learning myself after buying the D60 in 2009
I am not sure how to upload a photograph
I am a Chemistry teacher at a college in Dubai. I am aged 42 and from the UK. I live in Discovery Gardens. I enjoy photography as a hobby and would like to make new friends in Dubai and the other emirates.
