Who needs to learn Thai Yoga Massage?
· Personal trainers
· Massage Therapists
· And those of us who are just middle-aged and wake up stiff and achy in the morning!!
Sign up with your partner or bring a friend to this weekend workshop. Learn how to give each other the best stretching massage you’ll ever experience. Loosen up stiff joints and muscles that you didn’t think would ever move again.
This fun, ancient practice is a wonderful service for your friends, loves ones and clients, but it is also a great physical and spiritual exercise for you! In the best sense of the words, “The Giver is the Receiver!”
Thai Yoga Massage is a system of reflexology, acupressure, and assisted stretching developed in Thailand, and influenced by the traditional medicine systems of India, China, and Southeast Asia. This form of bodywork is often performed on the floor, and the client wears comfortable clothes that allow for movement. No oils are used in Thai Yoga Therapy.
The Thai Yoga Massage recipient changes into loose, comfortable clothes and lies on a mat or firm mattress on the floor. The receiver may be positioned in a variety of Hatha yoga-like asanas during the course of the work, but deep static and rhythmic pressures form the core of the work. The body will be energized and rejuvenated after the session, or calmed and sedated, depending on the need.
Laith Naayem L.Ac. is a licensed acupuncturist, Chinese herbalist, and meditation teacher. He was a Buddhist monk for over 10 years. Qi Gong and tranquility/insight meditation will be taught as integral to Thai Massage.
The basic level workshop is from 9am-6pm on March 8 & 9.
