It is my complete honor to have Norah Sweetman - Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) professionally trained practitioner presenting.
See her website www.getresults.ie
Part of my vision for the Energy Medicine Network Meetup is to have other Energy Medicine practitioners present what they are exploring.
Here is what Norah says
How did you get into EFT?
"EFT and me! A life changing experience!
I have always been healthy and energetic, except for two persistent complaints - sinus headaches and lower back problems.
Three winters ago I was in severe pain - only able to move around on all fours.
I watched my first Gary Craig DVD and I entered another world!
(Gary Craig is the founder of EFT - go to emofree.com and watch the brief introductory video - inspire yourself as to what is possible when it comes to healing yourself. Thereafter there are simple and easy to follow instructions which sometimes have immediate results.)
A few DVDs later I got up and I could walk!. I was healed by using EFT.
Convinced of it's benifits I went to San Francisco to train in Pro EFT with Lindsay Kenny."
What sorts of results have you had working with clients?
"In the last 3 years I have seen remarkable results - on issues from panic, trauma and cravings to chronic pain. I am still asking myself how it works!"
What is the theory?
"The theory is that we store trauma and stress in our bodies, this build up of negative emotions blocks the subtle energy flows in our bodies. Basically the electric power supply to each of our vital organs as well to our muscles gets compromised.
These blockages show up as aches, pains and stress leading to chronic pain and illness.
We all know how stress or trauma is often at the root of stomach ulcers, sleeplessness and other physical symptoms.
EFT works by shifting these energy blocks and lets the body heal itself."
What happens in an EFT session?
"The client is asked to tap gently on a series of acupuncture points while vocalising their issue in a structured way. This releases the physical energy that’s trapped and allows a positive reframe on the thoughts and emotions.
EFT sounds and it is! It is easy to learn and can used as a self help method for simple issues.
More serious issues can be worked through with an EFT practitioner."
What will we do on the Meetup evening?
"I will give a short introduction on the theory of EFT and then a demonstration on how Pro EFT works on some issues like cravings, anxiety or pain.
I will show you some easy take home techniques to use on yourself for everyday glitches or pain in your life.
It will be interactive and fun.
I will give you a small card with tapping points and a 'tapping round' on it to remind you what to do so that you can try it for yourself when you are at home.
I will show you some amazingly simple effective places to hold your head that instantly reduce shock or panic."
