The last Beatrix Queensday;  Hello King Willem Alexander

    & Maxima

Thuesday, April 30th, 2013 @ 19:00. We shall meet in the Zurich HB (Mainstation) under the "Blue Angel" (next to the SBB Ticket Office). Look for the people in Orange...and the Dutch Flag.

See Pictures from our 2011 Event < HERE >

About Queen's Day: Every year the Dutch celebrate Queen's Day and this year we'll do this in grand style with a march through the streets of Zurich, and end up for our celebration at the Kaufleuten Hof!!!

What do YOU need to participate? Come in your best Orange Clothing (shirts, pants, hats, other), and meet us at the Zurich HB Mainstation, under the Blue Angel. We shall do the Dutch "wooden shoe dance" under the Blue Angel and then march behind the Dutch Flag down the Bahnhofstrasse towards Rennweg. Then, we'll turn right towards the Kaufleuten Hof. We shall turn the Hof into an Amsterdam Orange light District!!! Help us celebrate the Dutch people's most important party of the year! IF you've never been to the Netherlands to witness Queen's Day in person, then come with us and experience it with US; you will talk about it for many years to come.

The Bahnofstrasse will become a sea of orange, just as when the Dutch invaded the Bundessquare in Bern. Due to last year's Queen's Day success (500+ people participated), we have limited complementary entries for the Kaufleuten Hof Party at the end of our parade, so act fast! We will have nice surprises if you come & join us :)

All that come for the Walk/March will have a chance to win a Prize in the following categories:

    • The Best Dressed "Orange-Coloured" Person
    • The Best Orange "Participator on a Vehicle"
    • The Best Dutch Look Alike (Queen Beatrix, King Alex or Princess Maxima )
    • The Best Music playing "Dweil Orkest" (aka, a Dutch Mop Orchestra)
    • The Best Expat "non-Dutch Going Wild" on Queen's Day

RSVP right away and bring along your friends!!! Also, sign up under our Meetup >> Zurich Expats 2012 Events << so that we can invite you to our other summer events which are sponsored by the city of Zurich! Our hope is to gather all of the Züri Expats together at the end of summer & throw a big party at the Bellevue.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
