Meet after the IATEFL Paris Symposium

Hello all,

I suggested a MeetUp after the IATEFL symposium on Saturday so that we could talk about the themes of the day*. In particular, of course, this could be useful to those who couldn't attend the event for whatever reason. I expect some of the other attendees will be looking to get food and drink so I guess we'll link up with them. The bar “L'Excuse” is just across the road from the event venue.

Sorry that this wasn't clear - technology fail on my part.

On the subject of the conference, Bethany at TESOL has kindly confirmed that for TESOL members entrance costs £55 which can be paid at the door. Note that the sum is in GBP and translates to around €67 in litres and centigrade.

It's more expensive if you're not a member of TESOL, so for this AND DOZENS OF OTHER REASONS I strongly recommend that anyone teaching English in France (or considering it) join this fine organisation. In a moment of spectacular hypocrisy I have just found out that my subs are not up-to-date so I'll be sending off a cheque for the paltry sum of €49 asahp.

I hope to see some of you there, cheers, Sean

Just found out that L'Excuse bar is closed for the evening - well I suppose it IS only Saturday night... So if anyone wants to ruminate on the revelations arising from the IATEFL sympo, I'll be in the Circus bar, corner of rue Tolbiac and rue de l'espérance. Sean[masked]

As I understand it, it costs £55 which works out as just under 70 Euro. But yes, still more expensive than the TESOL events which are great value for money!

Apparently, this symposium is now gonna cost £70 for TESOL members if you haven't yet registered! Compared to 50E for 3 days for TESOL conf in November!
Can you confirm this Sean? Prefer to pay £55 as TESOL suggested:D

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
