Carlos Valcarcel has been in software development since the mid-80's working in financial services, insurance and technology. He has worked with C, C++, Java, J2EE, Spring, Eclipse and Python in various locations around the United States and Australia. During his time as an independent consultant he presented sessions on software development and distributed system architecture in the US, UK, Germany and France. In 2004 Sams Publishing published his first book, Eclipse Kick Start (for Eclipse version 3.0).
He has been with Fast, A Microsoft Subsidiary, and is currently a Technical Solutions Professional, Digital Marketing Platform, US Public Sector.


Natalya Voskresenskaya has been working in the field of Information Technology for over 10 years. With experience in design, architecture, development and deployment of Web based applications, since early days of 2000 her main area of concentration had been development of portal solutions. Natalya delivers enterprise Portal applications and business solutions, as well as portal systems architecture, design, implementation, and best practices guidance. She has been involved in SharePoint Technologies since the 2003 version. An avid blogger at http://spforsquirrels... and writer, Natalya strives to share her passion for SharePoint and its community, and is often speaking at SharePoint community event as well as conferences. Besides SharePoint, Natalya's interest had been captured by another enterprise level search technology FAST, to her joy these technologies had been combined to complement each other's functionality. In 2009, Natalya co-founded Arcovis LLC, a business solutions consulting company focused on high quality SharePoint delivery. She has been awarded the prestigious Microsoft Most Valuable Professional award for the first time in year 2008. Co-Author of "Professional Microsoft Search: FAST Search, SharePoint Search, and Search Server".

Paul Olenick is a Sr. SharePoint and Enterprise Search Consultant for Arcovis (Gold Partner and Microsoft V-TSP) where he leads projects for large enterprise customers across multiple verticals.
Paul has spoken at the New York SharePoint User Group, Enterprise Search User Group, is a regular panelist on SharePoint ShopTalk and was on the "Ask the Experts" panel at SharePoint Conference 2010. He recently contributed a chapter to SharePoint 2010 Architects Guidebook (WROX) and has also been nominated as a Microsoft V-TSP. Paul regularly shares his experiences, tips and tricks in his blogs at olenicksharepoint.wordpress.com.

Leonardo Souza, Senior Technical Instructor at FAST University / Microsoft, is a professional with thirteen years of experience working with Microsoft technologies and of that time, over half a decade dedicated to the search industry. Leo assists organizations to implement powerful search solutions either directly in the field or teaching search-focused classes from Brazil to China.

Michael McCabe currently works as an Information Architect for Gig Werks and focuses on the SharePoint product. He has 18 years’ experience in technology and taught the first classes of Chase employees to use personal computers. Pre- Windows technology, those were the days. He has worked on collaboration technologies for Lotus, IBM and as a Technology Advisor focusing on SharePoint with Microsoft. He has broad experience in financial services having worked at JP Morgan, Financial Guarantee Insurance Company and as a consultant for the State of Connecticut. Michael has worked abroad and is fluent in German. He has studied at the Universities of Bonn (Germany) and Innsbruck (Austria). He earned a Masters from Cornell University and his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame.

Guy Mounier co-founded BA Insight in 2004 and is responsible for the strategic direction of the company and enterprise search applications. Prior to that, he was CTO of Suez, a Global 100 Energy Management Company, where he led multi-million dollar software deployment initiatives worldwide, ranging from PeopleSoft and SAP ERP, Oracle Hyperion BI, and Microsoft SharePoint Portal. Mounier is a frequent speaker in the community and shares his extensive enterprise technologies and search expertise at various key conferences including TechEd, KM World, AIIM and others. Mounier holds a Master’s in Mathematics from Harvard University, Cambridge, MA, and a Master’s in Computer Science from Ecole Centrale, Paris, France.
