World's First Integrated Angel and Crowdfunding Platform

In this talk he is going to share 10 things you have to do AND AVOID to have any chance of successfully raising money through crowdfunding.

More about Bill Morrow
Bill started his working life as an accountant with Virgin and quickly moved into investment banking in the City. He set up an international financial recruitment company which he sold to a Wall Street Bank in 2001. Since then he has been making his own investments.

When he founded Angels Den in 2007, he chucked out the rule book on Angel investment and was determined to make things happen for small businesses. Bill is passionate that all businesses with a good idea and a sound business plan should be able to access finance to get off the ground.

Angels Den now has the largest number of Angel Investors registered in Europe and is expanding into Asia and America. A TV show for budding entrepreneurs is also in the making.

Bill is proud to be a maverick in the world of business with the strength of character to take on the dinosaurs still roaming the City

He is also one of the best connected people in the UK. His i-phone address book reads like a who’s who of the business world. Coupled with this, his sharp business antennae and penetrating wit are a devastatingly entertaining combination.

I urge you... Get your super discounted ticket today... Remember price will go up the more tickets are sold and it's £28 on the door.

Another informative and entertaining talk by Bill Morrow and his spectacular vest. I, for one, am thankful for his honesty and the valuable information he provided, rather than dwelling on his delivery methods, which I thought were fine, and actually amusing. I have been to many talks and no-one has provided so much insight about the system and how Angels actually think. He's a character, which I'm sure has helped him become a successful (or not) investment banker and a pioneer in funding start ups. He has a wealth of experience and I'm sure is versatile in his dealings with others at various levels. For him, he was comfortable enough to deliver as he did last night.

One slight criticism would be that there could have been more focus on crowd funding and less on Angels. Apart from that, I'm very appreciative. Cheers Bill.

I really enjoyed the Bill Morrow's talk. Someone who has a deep understanding of business, and has the previous success to back up what he said. It is refreshing to hear someone speak clearly, intelligently and with wit, who has achieved real success in his area.
He showed respect for the audience with the depth of insight and the nuggets he shared regarding what it takes to attract funding and the things that successful businesses do and the things that they don't do. Focusing on political correctness really misses the point.

Bill Morrow is obviously very versed in angel funding as he does it for a living. I enjoyed getting his stats and views on the subject. However success does not give him license to being very politically incorrect. I thought he was arrogant, misogynistic and full of stereotypes. He might want to tone it down in front of a diverse group as was last night's audience.

Nice to hear (and surprising) that middle aged men prefer to invest in middle aged women! Entertaining, but I went thinking it would be about crowdfunding. It was actually about crowdfunding on an angel investment platform which I wasn't very interested in. My fault, I'm sure. But I have no clue about crowdfunding which is why I went. I still have no clue!

Informative, witty and precise. Devalued by repetitive use of expletives. "++++" on a PPT! Presenter's scruffy appearance and language indicates disrespect for his audience. He would not get away with all that in Singapore.

Hey Folks. It seems there is a problem with meetup right now that when you have paid it doesn't update your status.. we have never had that problem so it should only be a temporary problem.. If you get a confirmation from paypal that you have paid then everything is fine. ... but remember to bring your receipt tomorrow.

If you are in doubt please email us. Cheers

A tool I've found VERY useful as a startup founder has been HubSpot's Signals, and it's free!

It's a Gmail plugin that tells you when someone opens your email; that way you can tell if someone's ignoring you!

I have developed three software systems but steel I could not get into the market for sales. These software are of multimedia, data acquisition , and 3D model conversion into OpenGL code. What I should do to be success for marketing?

You should probably bring in a marketer or business developer as a co-founder instead of trying to it all yourself.
