Janelle Campbell and I started this meetup. I was part of the WONDERFUL atheist Meetup community in Houston until I moved back to Erie and wanted to help facilitate a healthy atheist community here as well.
I live in Erie.
Because I enjoy socializing with fellow atheists and agnostics, promoting epistemic responsibility and secular ethics, and discussing religion.
I was raised Mormon, became an evangelical Christian in high school, and became an agnostic/atheist in college
Philosophy (esp. phil of religion, ethics, and epistemology), Religion, Psychology, Biology, Transhumanism, (civil) Debate

I love this group; it is so exciting how quickly we are growing!
Thank you for the welcome, Michael! I hope to attend a meet-up soon.
Thank you for the welcome. I'm hoping to be able to start attending meet-ups in a few weeks. May will be a busy month for me personally and my son is graduating high school. I will be there as soon as I can though. I'm even hoping that at some point this month I can escape, but I can't count on having the time or energy. I'm really excited to have found your group and I look forward to meeting all of you.
Thx! Likewise! christorchaos.com dailycatholic.com traditio.com etc. are recommended websites. I see in your history you were protestant and then the liberal slant of colleges swayed your developing intellect. Maybe I can be the dialectical synthesis of those opposing forces. Was interested in joining this just to see what ya'll're up to and which public events I might join. As you know my position is "the fool hath said in his heart there is no God" - Psalms! Hello Michael. Thank you for the welcome. I would like to try to make it to whatever I can honestly. There aren't any real requirements to come or anything? Do I have to have read the books? etc? Sorry for all the questions. The church made me a bit anal and pedantic.
Thank you for the welcome. I hope to make it to the meetup this Friday.
