I'll be there...and I don't go anywhere without my laptop :)
I think a couple of good approaches to get momentum is to just bring laptops and help solve some problems, or have someone present about an application they built. We are working on a websocket server consuming messages from AMQP, happy to share some of the work we have been doing at some point.
As do I! :)

Well, it's two days from now; I'm still planning on attending - I hope I'm not the only one :)
Something has come up and I'll be out of town for two weeks, so won't be able to make the meet-up. :( I hope that it still goes ahead and that there's enough space in The Bean. I'll make the next one for sure.

Sounds good to me! I'm down!

OK, I've set a date for a meetup. :)

I haven't met too many local people that share an interest in Erlang just yet, and not one that is actively hacking something, so any interest would be a treat to me :)

I concur. We'll figure out a topic as we go along. My proposal for the initial topic is "Erlang" :)
I agree with Andrew. Let's meet up first and ask questions later. ;)

We could do that as part of a meetup.

Here is an idea:
Not sure how many people are good at Erlang, and how many are not (range of skill level), but I was thinking that we can bring our laptops and try to solve a basic problem (maybe a simple problem in another programming language), but with Erlang.

Let's not discuss anything about what we want, and just meetup. Also, you should totally change the name of this group to Erlounge NYC, which is the sort of standard naming convention....

Hi, is this group alive? Are there any actual get togethers planned?
