Greeting,

First of all let me say that I did not forget about this group.  We now have 16 members, so we should be able to gather as a small group to practice the "Universal Language."  I also plan to have online meetups via paltalk or other chat services.

The bookstore listed above is at a great location.  It is in a shopping complex that has numerous other stores.  And, the Movie Tavern is there.  The Movie Tavern is a theater that serves food while you are seated for the film.

The Towne Book Center and Cafe is the selected location, but this may be changed depending of the number of responses.  Here is another location that may be more suitable for a larger group.  This is located near a fairly large mall.

If you would like to help coordinate this event, please contact me at [masked] or [masked].  I will also start working on the website in a few days, so feel free to contact me with ideas and input.

This will be fun meeting, but it should also be productive.  I want to create some sort of format so that we do not get bored.  We can work on this together.  I would start of by suggesting that each member be prepared to share the following:

1. Why are you studying Esperanto?

     a. To prep for another language

     b. A mental exercise

     c. To communicate with people from all over the world

2. Where is Esperanto headed?

3. Advancements in Esperanto

Sincerely,

Mark Thompson

    Hi guys,
Unfortunately I don't have a car and thus it'll take me 2 hours one way to get to the location by SEPTA. Is it possible for us to schedule the meetup somewhere along the Norristown High Speed Line or the Paoli/Thorndale Line or anywhere inside downtown Philadelphia? Otherwise, I might need to withdraw my attendance, unfortunately.
    Best regards,
    Kevin Liao

    Saluton,
Mi ne havas unu auton. Pro tio, gxi prenos du horoj por iri al kongreson. Cxu ni sxangxi la situon al ie Philadelphia, au ie proksime "NHSL" au "Paoli/Thorndale" Line?
    Dankon,
    Kevin Liao

If I may improve the grammar: «Mi ne havas aŭton. Pro tio, mi bezonos du horojn por iri al la kunveno. Ĉu ni ŝanĝu la lokon al ie en Filadelfio, aŭ ie proksima al NHSL aŭ la Linio Paoli-Thorndale?»

Hello everyone, I am going to agree with Kevin on this one. I am really excited to be able to learn Esperanto with all of you, but living in Philly without a car means that it is really hard to get to Collegeville. If in the future the location could be arranged where it is easy to access by any one of the SEPTA lines, I'd definitely be up for making it.
