Parkside Farm is set amidst the beautiful rolling countryside just to the north of Enfield, and is easily accessible from the M25 (J24 3 miles). It is a family run business, growing about 20 different crops, all exclusively for PYO (Pick Your Own).

What could be better or healthier then to be able to enjoy absolutely fresh soft fruit & vegetables, selected and picked by yourself? Furthermore, this is something that most family members can join in and enjoy.
Please note that August 25th is a Bank Holiday Monday.
Proposed programme:
Proceed directly to the farm if you are driving.
For those using public transportation:
Take the tube to Cockfosters (Zone 5) at the northern end of the Piccadilly line. Aim to be there between 12.30 and 12.45. I shall try and organise a car pick up from Cockfosters at 12.45 for the two-mile/3 km trip to the farm, so make sure you have your mobile phones with you and let me have the number beforehand.
There is no restaurant at the farm (but there is a shop that sells ice cream and soft drinks), so please bring your own food (or we can provide a simple picnic finger-food style on request for about £5 per head). You can always utilise any cool bags you bring along to transport your fruit and vegetables home!
13.00-13.45 lunch
13.45-15.45 Fruit and vegetable picking
15.45-16.15 Tea break
16.15 (approx) Depart farm. Those who came by public transport will be dropped off at Cockfosters station.
How the system works: there is no admission charge, but you are expected to purchase a minimum of £1.50 of produce per head. Baskets are supplied for you to store the fruit and vegetables. Purchase is by weight.
The following webpage will give you an idea of what should be available at the end of August:

This is an ideal event for a family day out in the open countryside.
When replying, please let me know if you are intending to get there by car or public transportation so that we can assess transfer requirements.
