We are an international organization for progressive business people to connect, and grow, with colleagues who share similar ethical values. We also function as a non-partisan think tank, and organizing platform, for the moral transformation of corporate life.
For too long, an ethos of selfishness and greed has permeated our corporate world. From the Robber Barons of the 19th century, to the corrupt bankers and financeers who tanked the economy in 2008-- with their predatory lending and toxic derivates--it seems that Gordon Gekko's "greed is good" maxim still rules the day.
Our goal is to build a community of ethically-minded business people, too often isolated by the "profits over people" crowd. Through the simple power of dialogue, and sharing our stories, we'll stay strong and hopeful as we develop ideas and strategies for the progressive transformation of business.
We also welcome intellectuals, academics, and activists to speak and present your work to us; and encourage our own members to develop and grow their public voices, to write, and to engage the political arena as needed.
Business progressives too often hide in the shadows (except the famous ones like George Soros and Warren Buffet); frightened into silence at the water cooler. As our Ethical Business Society grows, we seek to be a catalyst for a very different corporate America: where the "bottom line" includes justice, kindness, and peace.
