As I recuperate from a difficult surgery, my thoughts have turned to the amazing capacity of the body and mind to restore themselves.
Much of this is autonomic. But to a certain degree we can cultivate outlooks and habits that aid our natural gifts for resilience. In fact, the study of resilience has become a new and exciting branch of psychological inquiry. For my talk of November 10th, I would like to share some of my own insights.
