Sunday Meeting -Resilience, Humanism and the Affirmation of Life

Dr. Joseph Chuman, Leader

As I recuperate from a difficult surgery, my thoughts have turned to the amazing capacity of the body and mind to restore themselves.

Much of this is autonomic. But to a certain degree we can cultivate outlooks and habits that aid our natural gifts for resilience. In fact, the study of resilience has become a new and exciting branch of psychological inquiry. For my talk of November 10th, I would like to share some of my own insights.

Entry to our 100-year-old building and meeting rooms is available for most wheelchair users with prior arrangements. Please call ahead  [masked] x 107) for setup of our portable system and plan to arrive one hour before start time.
