Ethics and the Theater play reading of two short plays from: How Long is Never? Darfur: A Response.
Ethics and the Theatre will present a reading of two short plays, Giving? Again?, by Lynn Nottage and Silouette, by Carlo Gebler. They are from a collection of seven plays called,"How Long is Never? Darfur: A Response, written by an informal group of writers in London working with the Tricycle Theatre Group. They were inspired by Mia Farrow's report of conditions in Darfur after her visit there in 2006 as a UNICEF representative and are a call for action by the international community to end this war against women and children.
Richard E. Van Deusen directs our cast, which includes Pat Debrovner, WillieAnn Gissendanner, Carol Van Deusen and Richard Van Deusen. After the reading Paula Claycomb will lead a discussion of the ethical issues in the play.
