Workshop with Richard Kiniry: Who Says Your Life Has to Have Meaning? dinner too

  • May 18, 2013 · 2:00 PM
  • Paula & Ben's Home

Workshop from 2 until 6 PM.
Even if you don't care about ideas like meaning, Ethical Culture offers a sensible but inspiring understanding of life's journey. Ethical Culture has a history situated on the fringe of religion and its approach is of use to both the confused and to know-it-alls. This 4 hour workshop, designed for the curious whether Society members or newcomers, offers an opportunity to examine the philosophy of Ethical Culture while questioning the "big issues" such as God, faith and morality. We will relate the philosophy to practical ideas--economic and social justice, Capitalism vs Socialism, the environment, abortion and minority rights.

Dinner and socializing from 6 until 9.

Richard Kiniry is Leader Emeritus at the Philadelphia Society. He brings his wealth of experience with and passion for Ethical Culture to Silicon Valley. A day not to be missed!

Even though the breeze moved us indoors, the day was very pleasant, the people delightful, the ideas thought provoking and the call to action inspiring. I'm so glad everyone came and that we had Richard's expertise and experience to lead us through some deep Ethical Culture waters!

We had 4 hours of thought-provoking discussion in which everyone participated. Richard is a great leader! All this was followed by a delicious dinner.

Might not be able to come out, and if I do, I definitely can't stay for dinner. Lots of things that need doing today.

We'll be outdoors for the workshop, under the oak tree, enjoying May in the Bay Area. Dress accordingly. This is NOT a potluck dinner so please RSVP so we'll have enough food.
