It is estimated that one third of all pounds of the food distributed by
Second Harvest is touched by warehouse food sorting volunteers! Volunteers are needed to sort food at the
Second Harvest warehouse. Volunteers inspect and categorize donated food products (such as dry goods and produce) and bag, box, or repack to ready for distribution. Training is provided at the beginning of each shift. Come join us as put our ethics into action and help make this world a less hungry place! RSVP with Mai required as space is limited (831)[masked] or [masked]. You can read the
volunteer requirements here.

Since I had never been to the Second Harvest facility before, it was very interesting and informative to learn something about how and food collection and distribution takes place. We had a great team to work with other volunteers sorting food that was collected at the many "can" sites in the area. Good job everyone!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
