Ethics Discussion & Food: Is Atheism a Religion?

  • Jun 18, 2014 · 7:30 PM
  • Paula & Ben's Home

Join us Wednesday June 18th as we discuss the topic: Is Atheism a Religion? Humanist Chaplain, Wes Fornès will facilitate the discussion.

In the U.S., Susan Jacoby recently wrote, moments of tragedy can be a reminder “of what atheism has to offer.” The philosopher Gary Gutting adds that atheists, like religious people, ought to articulate reasons for their beliefs (or lack thereof). The goal of the discussion will be to have a better understanding of what you believe religion to be and how an Atheistic worldview fits into it.

*Vegan soup served @ 6:30pm

*Discussion starts @ 7:30 p.m. and ends @ 9:00 p.m.
