Ethical Open Ottawa (“EOO”) is a social and discussion group for adults of any age interested in learning and sharing relationship styles (monogamous or alternative lifestyles). By NOT treating two seemingly opposed ideas as enemies to each other (e.g. monogamy and non-monogamy), EOO would like to be a safe space for people who value  integrity, humility, kindness, and win-win cooperation, who view being ethical, open, honest, and respectful as the key prerequisites to relationships.

For clarity, this group is NOT a platform for seeking casual sex, friends with benefits, or hookups. EOO meetup is not a dating site and our events are not for hooking up. Unsolicited messages to other members asking for dates or private meetups are not supported. Reports that a member is sending unsolicited, unwelcome messages, may result in being removed from the group. ALL members share responsibility to create a safe and respectful space for sharing and learning.

The group highlights the following as its general motivations or intentions:

1) The world needs more sharing, empathy, compassion, cooperation, and innovation
2) The Platinum Rule - treat others as they would like to be treated
3) Returning favor received by paying it forward.

EOO relies on the integrity, talents, and leadership of each of its members. It is a space for integrative thinking and innovation, for turning your talents to recognition and rewarding experiences.

EOO welcomes every member to suggest and/or to host events. Donations to event hosts to cover event costs are encouraged and much appreciated. As a code of ethical conduct, event hosts are kindly required to disclose in the event description any conflict of interests, present or future, direct or indirect, business or non-profit, related to oneself or a third party.'s_the_Right_Thing_to_Do%3F
