Friday Night Swing Dance

Every Friday night, the Ottawa Swing Dance Society runs a well-attended swing dance in a casual but fun atmosphere. It happens at the Sandy Hill All Saints Chruch, 317 Chapel St., near Rideau St., from 8:30 to 12:30.

The $5 entrance fee includes an introductory swing dance lesson, awesome DJed music, a beautiful dance environment and a chance to meet the grooviest hepcats in town!

Lesson starts at 8:30, open dancing at 9:30. Open to all ages. Everyone welcome. Limited Free Parking. Bring an extra, clean, indoor pair of shoes. No outdoor shoes allowed on dance floor.

    The first hour is a lesson. and you switch partners every 2-3 minutes so you get to dance with people of varying skill levels. "NO FEET LEFT BEHIND". dont worry about it. if you arrive for the lesson, there is limited parking in the church parking lot. I just park on the street. NBD. Chapel is not full of cars.

      one thing they forget to tell you. bring a water bottle!!!! they sell bottled water at the door but its much more convenient to have your own. and those indoor shoes. for men, dress shoes with leather soles seem to be ideal. at least thats what the cool cats were rocking. I'm still trying to get away with something else but I'm on my 3rd time there and about to give in to the majority
