God's Psychological Problems: He's Got Issues!

From Christopher Hitchens' The Portable Atheist, some thoughts upon God's psychological condition.

A. He had a troubled childhood, has repressed all memory of it.

B. He claims to be all powerful, but is utterly defeated by a condom.

C. He can see through clothing, but not through underwear.

E. He made all decisions before we were before, but punishes us for them.

F. Concerning sex, he forbids chemistry and physics, but allow mathematics.

And other such questions offered by great thinkers over the millennia.

    Hi,
Is there a street address for the Library?
    Thanx!
P.S. Maybe we should blame His issues on his parents...

How can anyone believe in a god that allows such horrors to occur on earth?

Oh it's just your human mind can't comprehend the grand cosmic plan. Death is just switching to another world and pain and suffering are weakness leaving your body (and mind) :P

Ah, Richard, another wonderful synopsis! I was planning on attending, but then got an opportunity to go camping in the mountains and this looks like the last window of nice summer weather. See you next time!

Gosh, I'll be attending my liberal church with the openly gay pastor. Next time.

Hi Sara, Thanks for the check-in. In Portland, being gay is a sacrament...whatever that is. I come from the Quaker crowd on Stark. Come by when you can.

Yes Sheila, you got it. THIS Sunday its at the Belmont Library. We have to move around some because we can't meet at one library twice in a month. I'll check the directions, I may have changed the homepage, thanks for that insight. Beyond all the logistics, it is a wonderful group of very nice people who like to think and talk.
