The original aim of this group was to encourage members of the public to shop ethically by -
The hope being to raise consciousness of ethical alternatives, and the goal to thereby reduce sales of unethical one, resulting in an erosion of the profit margin for these products.
Many unethical products may have a profit margin of only 10%, so a small shift in purchases may make them unprofitable, and they'll be taken off the shelves.
Members can meet once a month to compile the lists, which will then be printed out. Then we will do some door-to-door leafleting as a group.
There are warehouses where products can be bought at extremely low prices, and local farm grown produce, and we could arrange visits to these locations.
