Meet other people who are for the life transformation that occurs when simple basic goodness is placed over religion. This radical shift is liberating and brings people heart-to-heart. This is so significant that it can be said that "Morality over religion is our religion." The more the world moves in this direction, the more justice and fairness, community and love can be created. Each Sunday at 11, we hear speakers who bring new eye-opening perspectives. Some of us join the Ethical Society as a more formal and permanent face-to-face commitment than a Meetup group, but that is never a requirement.

Here, people of many stripes feel at home with one another, whether they are spiritual but not religious, religious but not dogmatic, spirited but not spiritual, artists but not ritualists, activists but not fundamentalists, and whether they are agnostics, atheists, theists or etheists. To be clear, we do not allow religious proselytizing that is based on anything other than ethics.  We do allow, learn from, and even enjoy, examining religions on the basis of what they lead their members to do. For example, if a religious faction leads its followers to deny scientific findings, we regard that as strong evidence that there is something wrong with the religion itself.  If someone attends our meetings and wants to witness to a faith that is based on placing anything over ethics, it's simply inappropriate. Here we are all at home in the cause of simple basic goodness. In all of these, we grow in respect and friendship with one another.
