Do Atheists Need a Church? (plus new Member day!)

  • May 5, 2013 · 10:30 AM
  • Univ. of MO Extension Center

NEW MEMBER SUNDAY: Join us as we recognize and welcome several individuals who have recently pledged/committed to joining Ethical Society Mid Rivers!

10:30 Program- There is a growing movement of non-believers who are interested in convening for spiritual purposes. We will present an entertaining article from Salon.com that delves into many issues that Ethical Culturists also confront, such as: Can one practice spirituality and not be religious? What can we learn from the faithful? Where does our morality come from? Can we find awe in a secular context?

Exploring these questions will surely ignite some interesting thoughts and discussion regarding the future of our movement.

Coffee/New Member Welcome – 11:30am-?

Immediately following the program, please stay for a cup of coffee and treats to welcome and get to know our new members!
