Portland Ruby Brigade

I've never met any other ruby devs here in Eugene but figured I would post this and see if there was any interest. Portland has a pretty sizable ruby community and hold monthly meetings at New Relic. The meeting is from 6 - 10pm though ducking out early may be an option as the end is some socializing and it's a lengthy drive back to Eugene. There is free pizza and beer. We would need to leave Eugene at around 3:45. Experienced and newbie programmers are welcome.

I have not been to one of these meetings before but figured it was worth checking it out to see if it's worth the 2 hour drive. If anyone is interested in tagging along I've got room for 3 more in my car.

Ok anyone who wants to carpool, let's meet at 3:45 at the best buy at gateway (I figure that's easy to find and easy access to the freeway and no real worries about leave a car there). I'm in a white subaru forester with ghostbusters family stickers on the back...

Looks like I should have room to give you a ride back if you can meet up with us there.

I'm not up for the road trip, but the PDX Ruby group is a good time. Don't miss Markus' hangman.

On the topic of not meeting other rubyists in Eugene... There are 3-4 (and growing) rubyists at Palo Alto Software and 1-2 still left from DECK/Also Energy. I think that we're here, just a bit scattered.

Count me in. I might drive separately and spend the night.

Portland, free pizza, beer, and ruby? Sounds good!

If many more sign up I can also bring folks in my non-AC equipped 1991 Accord.
