Lunch at Manolas - Thai Food

Thai restaurants make it so easy to get a vegan meal. I had never heard of Manolas until recently. I tried it. I loved it. I thought this should be our next restaurant visit.

I also tried a dessert.  It has to have been one of the best tapioca's I have ever had - except for the weird color...  If you don't want to eat an entire lunch, consider coming for dessert!

There is a limit of 12 people. Meetup will manage a waitlist, though. So, please keep on top of your RSVP if it needs to change.

I agree with Liz. It was a wonderful meal and great time. I'll be sure to go back there at some point. I had the tofu pad thai and would recommend it. It seems everyone enjoyed their meals too, so you can't go wrong.

Excellent! Good to know of another vegan-friendly restaurant. The food was great, the company and conversation stellar, as always.

there needs to be a vegan restaurant with a buffet that serves unlimited perfectly ripe high calorie hass avocados and almond cheese and let the 80/10/10 pushers go to the salad bar at Izzy's.

didn't make it. I forgot until last moment and I didn't have internet when I remembered at the last moment. I got it confused with the Thai Restaraunt:
    Ta Ra Rin
    1200 Oak St

So I went Mexican Vegan instead and got the rice & black beans chips and salsa at Baja Fresh on Coburg Road. (not a bad deal.)

This sounds really fun--wish I could go. Unfortunately, I've got another obligation.

I *love* Thai food -- hence my bringing Phat Thai at the picnic -- and hate to skip this but unfortunately I'm literally flat broke until I get paid on the 30th.

I am tentatively a yes, if someone else needs my place I can be bumped. Church doesn't get out until 12:15-12:30, so I don't know if I want to show up and order when everyone else may already have their meals.

Will there be a special vegan meal for us or will we order individually off the menu? I looked at the menu online and seems like lots of vegan options which is great.

Shane: They won't have a special menu for us, but I talked to them about their menu. They can make almost anything vegan, as most items come with a tofu or tempeh option and they can leave out the oyster sauce. They said to just tell the waiter that the group is vegan when we show up, and the waiter will let us know if we pick something that would be difficult to do vegan. || To answer your other question: We will be ordering individually. So everyone can get whichever vegan option they want. Hope to see you there! - JJ, Organizer
