In the past year I have taught myself the crochet basic stitches. I am trying to improve to the level of creating garments instead of just the occasional blanket or shawl. I do not think I would be able to do this on my own!
I would like to start a friendly group of crocheters of all abilities in order to have a fun atmosphere to share projects, books, favorite podcasts, tips, ideas, motivation, and a common love of creating crocheted works. I am also interested in crochet for charity projects, learning to spin my own yarn, and possibly designing my own projects in the future.
Ultimately, I want to have fun, meet new andinteresting people, and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with good conversation.
Knitters are also more than welcome! I do not know anything about knitting yet, but always interested to learn. I started with crochet because several women in my family crocheted and it just seemed more natural to me to pick up a crochet hook!

November has been a very busy month, so the next meetup will be in December. I am going to have the meetup again at Brother's K coffee shop. It was a bit crowded last time when we met at 2pm, but it seemed to clear out by 3pm, so I have moved the time back a bit. Also, I have just recently redone my apartment living room so I figure we can walk over there after meeting at the coffee shop, it is just one block away. Read more
