After trying to teach myself a couple of times, I learned at the "As Ewe Like It" class through the park district. After making my first hat, i have been joyfully making scarves, flowers, mittens and even a tea cosy. I love that I can knit anywhere and the same project can be so different using a different yarn.
I like smaller projects that I get a little more instant gratification from like hats and mittens. I am now making flowers and discovering the joys of felting (sometimes joy, sometimes oops!).
I have been making a lot mittens for kids at my son's school. I would love to make a cowl for myself

I'm an Evanston "knitty" mom (as my son likes to call me.) I have needles and some yarn with me just about everywhere I go and I love to make things for friends and family. One day I would like to custom dye my own yarn.
