Announcing a new Meetup for Evening Walkers!

What: Rocky Narrows and Sherborn Town Forest - Fast Paced Workout and Beautiful Walk

When: Thursday, August 12,[masked]:30 PM

Where: Rocky Narrows
Forest Street
Sherborn, MA 01770

Rocky Narrows and Sherborn Town Forest are two beautiful adjacent nature sanctuaries. We will begin at the entrance on Forest Street. After briefly walking past a field we will walk through a deep deciduous forest canopy (beautiful Maples and Oak) until we reach the Charles River. The walk along the river is initially flat right near the water. However, soon we start to climb up a steep hill until we get a beautiful view of the river and surrounding area from above at the King Phillip?s Overlook. From there we take some other trails and complete this awesome loop!

This will be another fast paced walk but there will be a few spots where we stop and enjoy the scenery. We will meet at 5:30 at the Forest Street entrance and start walking at 5:40. The walk will last between 1 ? - 2 hours (probably closer to 1 ? hours but there are some other trails to explore if we want to walk some more), thus we should be back before the 7:50 sunset. Nevertheless, bring a flashlight just in case. The walk will be a combination of exercise, beauty, peacefulness and adventure!
