Thanks, David, for posting the topic "free will" far enough in advance for us to have a chance to think about it before the meeting. I look forward to hearing everyone's thoughts.

Say I've recently written a book. "What Do You Mean My Money's Worthless: A Stagflation Survival Guide." Would you like me to come in and talk about it?

How long will you be there? I have class until 8 on Thursdays, but I would love to come late if that's ok.

    •  It is great to share a few hours a month with interesting people who like to ask the difficult questions.
    •  Another good encounter of the minds. We discussed the nature of 'will' or 'volition', and eventually agreed that we all had free will, but the amount of it/the degree of it is up in the air; we discussed how some of us (human beings) do not know that we have it, awake to it, and therefore misuse/mishandle our free will. The last several minutes six (6) of us went around talking about dreams and thought-- whether they are the same thing, whether only human beings 'think', and altered states of consciousness.
