The Dallas Examined Life Philosophy Group Monthly Meetup

  • Jan 10, 2013 · 7:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

It's that time of year again. With the end of the year comes the beginning of another and new beginnings for ourselves. It's that time where many of us are motivated to make drastic changes through New Year's resolutions. But this brings up many important philosophical questions:

  • What is motivation?

  • What do we mean when we say that someone is motivated?

  • What motivates us?

  • Why might self-motivation be so difficult for some?

  • Are some motives more or less effective than others?

As always, we will be just outside the cafe, around the aquarium and the crystal display. There is a suggested $2 donation to help cover the cost of maintaining the meetup, but it is not required. We hope to see you there.

Additional notes: The $2.00 fee is paid when attending so there is no need for a refund. The intent is to share the cost of maintaining the MeetUp website among ONLY participating members. No one is turned away when they don't have $2.00.

Payments you make go to the organizer, not to Meetup. You must make refund requests to the organizer.
