Who is your favorite philosopher, and why?

Kongzi (Confucius) because of his practicality. If you like Socrates, Aristotle, or the Stoic philosophers, you will like Kongzi and the Ru Jia tradtion (Confucianism). The examined life in Ru Jia is part of "self-cultivation." It's very American!

Kierkegaard was the 1st writer to change my life. I read him while in high school. My life was never the same. See: http://groups.yah... http://www.timele... http://www.timele...
