Who is your favorite philosopher, and why?

John Searle. I find his prose deceptively easy to read, but packed with content. I enjoy the challenge of picking his arguments apart to see what they are really about. He challenges me on many levels. Daniel Dennett is a really close second.

What attracted you to join this group?

I loved the idea of getting to know new people who actually like to consider philosophical topics as fun and hobby! I'm even more excited to be able to meet these people in Real Life versus virtual worlds, that's not easy to find.

How do you define philosophy? There is no wrong answer.

The art of thinking.

I am a new transplant to the DFW area from Ann Arbor, MI. I am looking to meet others that can help foster the kind of intellectual spark that kept me in A2 for so long!
