Le Sierra Club est une ONG environnementale à but non lucratif fondée il y a 120 ans. La section du Québec basée à Montréal organise des randonnées dans les Adirondacks et les Laurentides, aux Green Mountains du Vermont et à d'autres endroits d'intérêt environnemental depuis 2004. One Earth, One Chance...

Since 1892, Sierra Club has been working to protect communities, wild places, and the planet itself. It is the oldest, largest, and most influential grassroots environmental organization in the United States, founded by America's most famous and influential naturalist and conservationist, John Muir. The purposes of the Sierra Club are to explore, enjoy, and protect the wild places of the earth; to practice and promote the responsible use of the earth's ecosystems and resources; and to educate and enlist humanity to protect and restore the quality of the natural and human environment.

In Canada, the Sierra Club is a national environmental non-profit and NGO that lobbies governments for sustainable communities and eco-systems. Based in Montreal, Sierra Club Québec has been organizing day-hikes and hiking to the Adirondacks, Green Mountains, and Laurentians and outings to points of environmental interest since 2004. Besides the hiking, we aim to sensitize our members and the wider public to environmental issues through visits to urban infrastructure such as water treatment plants as well as local organic farms.
