Does this sound too familiar? You know you should be exercising regularly, you start a workout routine, and after a few weeks (or days!) you quit. If you're like me, the problem is "accountability". You need a workout partner, someone to whom you're accountable. But all your friends aren't into the same activities or aren't available the same days/time you are. What about a personal trainer?
So here's the idea - list the sport/activity you'd like to do, the time of day (morning/afternoon/evening or weekend) that you're available, area of city, and the frequency (daily, 3 times per week, etc.) Hopefully, through this Meetup group, you can find a partner (or partners) to meet and be active with and finally get some regular exercise!
If you see a member who has listed an activity, area and time that matches (or comes close) to what you're interested in, contact that person by email and get talking. Hopefully, you can find a partner, schedule a time and place to meet - and get going!
Occasionally, I might schedule a group activity, like walking but it will not necessarily be a regular event.
