Studied Existentialism and Phenomenology extensively both as an undergraduate (at Texas State) and in grad school (at UH). Have been teaching Sartre, Heidegger, de Beauvoir, Kierkegaard, and Nietzsche as an adjunct Philosophy professor for years now (albeit at an introductory level). Read Nietzsche's "Zarathustra" at the age of 13 and was amused, enthralled, and perplexed.
I want everyone to have fun and get as much out of this group as possible, so I'm definitely open to suggestions. I look forward to reading (and re-reading) the works of Nietzsche, Kierkegaard, Heidegger, and Dostoevsky.
Moved to Houston in '07 to attend UH. Now teaching Philosophy, Ethics, Logic, and World Religions. Looking forward to expanding my knowledge, exploring different perspectives, and meeting others who are interested in this fascinating subject.
