Ramble = a relaxed journey on foot for exercise or pleasure (Merriam Webster)
Let's enjoy the fall colors!
Join Expat Club Brussels on nice Sunday morning walks through different parts of the city, its parks and surrounding forests or nature. Karen from Portland (Oregon) is an experienced walker and will be our guide. The pace is about 5-6 km/h on average so not too fast but certainly not a stroll either. You can wear normal sports shoes but when it rains it may be better to have proper walking shoes.
For this ramble we walk again through the Bois de la Cambre towards the Sonian Forest (Forêt de Soignes), but will again take a different route through the forest. We will enjoy the fresh air and the beauty of this amazing backyard of Brussels. There are a few small hills but not steep. TPlease don't forget to bring a bottle of water and a snack with you.
We willl be meeting at the end of Avenue Louise, at the top of Bois de la Cambre. You can get there easily with trams 7 and 93/94, stop Legrand. Just walk about 100 meters towards the roundabout. We are waiting slightly behind the left building. You could also take any of the busses going to Chaussee de Waterloo and get off at Bascule (38, 136, 137 and 365) and walk through the Avenue Legrand towards Avenue Louise, then turn right. And finally, you could take busses 25 and 71 towards Buyl, then walk towards the park on Avenue Lloyd George that ends at the roundabout. Please note that we will leave exactly at 10.30.
