Are you an expat in Brussels or a local with an international background? Would you like to connect with like-minded people and make new friends? And are you interested in doing fun things in a relaxed environment where you can just be yourself and don’t need to have your business card ready? Then Expat Club is the right place for you!
Our friendly international community offers a range of events. From Sunday morning walks to movie nights, from visits to local factories to daytrips abroad, and from guided neighborhood tours to fun diners and bar meetings. All gatherings are focused on giving you a great time, expose you to the best in Brussels and beyond, and provide you the opportunity to meet many potentially new friends. We ensure a regular museum visit becomes a memorable experience by arranging a professional guide to show us around. Our daytrips are organized from A to Z, you just have to sit back, relax and enjoy the ride and the program that we've put together for you. And we often take you to special places that are inaccessible for individuals so you have the chance to do something truly unique. This variety ensures there is always something that catches your fancy. And even if you’re not fond of hiking, visiting a factory, or traveling to another city, we would like to challenge you to join us anyway. You’ll be amazed how enjoyable it is to do, see or learn something new. And we promise you that sharing such experiences with other international people is the best way to initiate lasting connections.
So become part of our fun and open community, join us for some of our many (often free) events and start to fully enjoy your time as an international citizen of this city!
To give you a better idea of what we do, here is a selection of our past events:

If you have international friends or colleagues who are not (yet) on Meetup but who may want to join our activities, you can always refer them to our official website www.expatclub.org where they can sign up for our newsletter and register for the events.
Expat Club is an informal Meetup group. Yet, just like any other Meetup group there are some rules to observe. There are three important ones:
1. By signing up you acknowledge being an expat or a Belgian with an international background (e.g. have lived abroad, doing a lot of international business, avid traveler, foreign spouse etc). Fake profiles or people who are not a member for the right reason will be deleted immediately.
2. You must RSVP when you joining our events. We must know how many people will show up, for instance to make a reservation. Equally important, you must change your RSVP status if you cannot make it anymore. Again, we must know how many people are coming, even if it concerns a get-together in a bar. Nobody likes to go to an event assuming 50 people show up, whereas in reality there are only 10... You will get one kind request to keep this rule in mind after you failed to de-register from the RSVP list. After that you will be taken from the list.
3. Respect other members. Further explanation is unnecessary.
