Training bike ride

After one moth of base training we will continue the theme throughout december. Base training is low intensity, high cadence cycling. It will also give any newbies the chance to start focussing a little more on riding in groups (which can be intimidating) and drafting.

After the first riders pass 50km we will regroup and finish with a 1 lap time trial lap to have a benchmark for your future improvement.

If you are debating on an early xmas present, get yourself a heart rate monitor as it will be useful for this session.

Hi blythe, all depends where you live. I will have a car s you can leave extra clothes in there while we cycle if you want to.

Same question as Lina-- not sure how to get to longchamp. Will try to find a route on map my ride but a metro as a back up would be handy (is porte dauphine the closest?)

At the moment I'm saying yes to this, but I know I will be having a late night on Saturday, so if I am not at that bench at 9am, then please go on without me!

Hi all! What is the closest metro/train stop? I haven't ridden out there yet, are we allowed to bring bikes on the metro?

Google doesnt seem to be showing the right place on the map (on my computer atleast). At the bottom of allee de longchamps is a car park. In said car park is a bench, I will be on that bench.

I just want to warn you that I'm really truly a beginner! I've been an off and on bike commuter over the years (velib!), but completely new to road biking.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
