About 18 months ago, I hosted a dinner party for 24 single friends in a chic London restaurant. It was a huge success and people kept asking for the next one. I expanded to include exclusive wine tastings, private museum tours & private dining experiences - basically anything around my passions - Food, Art & Wine.
The concept quickly grew, and soon people were telling their friends about it, and so on. Suddenly I had a huge mailing list of people all looking to do cool things in London whilst meeting like-minded people! I call the network 2Degrees - it's a friends of friends network that has grown by invitation or referral to over 300 members. I am now expanding the group to include new eligible and successful expats!
Who is this network for? Smart, sexy successful & single expats! Well travelled, diverse, eligible, well educated (over half have a Masters or top-tier MBA), globally minded young professionals from diverse industries including fashion, finance, media, consulting & some interesting entrepreneurs! If you like doing exclusive events, indulging your inner snob, and happy to pay for quality - both in the venue and in the network - then this is the group for you.
Please note this is an Exclusive members network - if a member doesn't fit with the above profile then they will be disinvited. Sorry but I must maintain the quality of the network. I'm all about quality - in the venues, the wine tastings, the exclusive museum tours, and most importantly - in the members. I like to indulge my inner snob & don't mind paying for my experience. That's what people love about 2Degrees - the venues are secret, exclusive, generally in posh places, and of high quality.
Basically - I'm like the Social Lubricant that facilitates conversation & introductions!
Women 28-40 and men 30-45 are welcome (NO exceptions!). If you fit this description and are looking to make new friends, indulge your taste buds at uber cool venues, & maybe meet that special someone - you should join!
A little about me: I'm a Canuck (Canadians for those who don't know the lingo!) who has been in London for 7 years. I did my MBA at INSEAD (what a blast!) and now work with digital start-ups. I love people & I love organising events, and I've become pretty good at matchmaking too (introduced 4 marriages over the years!). I've organised events for Quintessentially, and for both the INSEAD Alumni & London Business School networks. I look forward to meeting you all!
