Free theatre: Romeo and Juliet (in Norwegian) (plays 23, 24, 25 Nov)

  • Nov 23, 2012 · 8:00 PM

The students from NISS (Nordic Institute of Stage and Studio) are performing the play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare in Norwegian. For free.

There are 3 performances (I created this meetup for Friday when I will most probably go, but you can go any other day):
23 Nov (Friday) from 20:00
24 Nov (Saturday) from 18:00
25 Nov (Sunday) from 18:00

The stage is at NISS, Christian Krohgs gt. 2. The closest public transport stops are Brugata and Grønland T.

More info about the play on the Facebook event.

There are no tickets to be booked, so just show up and enjoy (it might be a good idea to come 15-20 min before to make sure you get in if there are too many people).

It might be a good idea to be familiar with the plot and the characters by reading the Wikipedia article (also in Norwegian), since the same actors can play different characters and it can be confusing.

Also check out A Midsummer Night's Dream which plays on the same days at a different time, so you can watch 2 Shakespeare plays in Norwegian back-to-back (or on different days) if you want.
