You'll get invited to our Meetups as soon as they're scheduled!
This group includes Expats from around the world, some in Paris for short stints and some for decades. Most have a lot in common, starting with carte de séjour stories and going from there. Join us sometime for a drink, a concert, an expo or a picnic and tell us yours.
Expats Paris is run by Alison Reynolds, Doug English, Donna Morris, Chany Vangeenberghe and Gerry Collins.
The five of us who organize Expats Paris events reflect the diversity of the rest of the group, which has around 2,000 members from over 50 countries. We have all lived abroad in a lot of places doing a lot of different things and are all multilingual . . . and not all of us are native English speakers. We welcome anyone who is, has been or wants to be part of the expatriate experience to join us.
If you ever have any questions or suggestions, just email alison@expatsparis.com
Hope to meet you sometime soon!
The Organizers:
ALISON REYNOLDS
A native of bonnie Scotland, Alison has been living in Paris since the year 2000, interrupted once by a short spell as an expat on the Russian island of Sakhalin. She lives in the 15ème, has a passion for travel, books, art, music, food and wine and of course, meeting new people

DOUGLAS ENGLISH has lived in France since 1998. He plays way too much golf, but he also loves to hear your stories...particularly the ones about the woman that got away. He is most interested in organizing opera, theatre, symphony, and other related events. But Doug's events will not always be obscure 11th century lute recitals (some may be 12th century harpsicord recitals). Regardless, it's bound to be out of the ordinary.

CHANY VANGEENBERGHE grew up in Greece, but is also half-Belgian. He studied international business in Brussels, where he lived for 5 years. He also lived in the UK for 6 months. He settled in Paris one year ago in order to find a job and to experience the city that he loves the most. At the moment, he's working as a purchaser in a telecommunications company. He grew up with an international background, but that's never enough when it comes to meeting interesting people from different cultures willing to share their experiences.

DONNA MORRIS
It’s been almost 3 years since Donna yielded to the call to live in Paris. Her ease with the language and her Swiss passport helped her learn the ropes of expatriate life quickly. She’s spent many years in event management and fundraising for organizations like the International Red Cross and Compaq. She’s a knowledgeable wine aficionado who can help you plan a party, organize an event or just discover the little jewel of a restaurant around the corner. Donna is originally from Asheville, North Carolina, the “Paris of the South” where she still owns a historic house, but today lives in the 17th arrondissement at the top of a beautiful Hausmanian building with views of the old rooftops of Paris and the Eiffel Tower in the distance…
GERRY COLLINS
Living in Paris for an extended second period after spending time in London and Hong Kong, Gerry cannot now think of living anywhere else. He really enjoys the wide range of things you can do and people you can meet in this city. His most passionate interests are sporting, a regular tennis player, a skier in season and a retired rugby player, although promises to come out of retirement if he can find a group of touch or Tag rugby players.
