Did you miss the Paris Fashion week 2013? Well, then there’s no need to worry because this is another opportunity for you to discover and get to know more about fashion through The ongoing "Paris haute couture" Exhibition. This visit will give you an opportunity to admire some exceptional examples of haute couture dresses or outfits, chosen from among the most beautiful pieces in the Galliera museum collections.
As you might know, the Haute couture was born in Paris in the mid-19th century, and the city is still the capital of this special art. By showcasing masterpieces from the Galliera museum, the Hôtel de Ville is paying tribute to this little-known world, one of the jewels in the crown of French culture, and to a Parisian industry characterized by creativity and high-tech expertise.
The exhibition tells the story of the luxury industry with its flamboyant designers and uniquely talented seamstresses.
We will meet at 5.30pm, tour these beautiful pieces of art then go for a drink in a nearby bar (to be communicated later).
Make sure you register and get the chance of learning great stuff and meet new people.
More about the exhibit to be found here.
This meetup is organized with the help of our friends of EXPATS PARIS
