Great Alaskan Beer and Barley Wine Festival

It's $45-$50 at the Sullivan Arena or from Ticketmaster. You get a souvenir glass, 30 samples and a program for admission price. More info at http://auroraproductions.net/beer-barley.html. I'd plan for a DD, taxi or hanging out downtown for awhile to sober up after this event. I'll probably do the latter, and find a sandwich!

Line all the way down to and along 4th Avenue. Took me about 45 minutes to get inside. Once inside it was good, good crowd, good bands (a bit loud with everyone talking over the music). Way too many to sample...

They have to check IDs for everyone, then tickets, then pass out programs, then glasses. ( coat check is downstairs)

I'd recommend getting here early, the line was down the block & around the corner on 4th Avunue

There's a line to get into a building as big as the Egan?! That's ridiculous! What do they set up "walk through" beer booths?! I think it may be too late to try to get everyone there early, maybe I can get someone who shows up earlier at Kaladi's to go secure a spot in line. Thanks for the heads-up.

Hey Shaun, I bought tickets to the Connoisseur Session & just looked at them & realized they are not only different in the offerings the times are also different, so I'll be starting out at 2:00 & ending at 5:00. I can still meet you & the others at Kaladi Bros for a coffee...

Let's meet at Kaladi Bros on G and 6. It's only about a block away and will be warm and easy to find each other. My cell # is[masked], text or call when you get there or if you're gonna be late and need to find us in the Egan. I look forward to seeing or meeting you... and having some good drinks.

For anyone who's interested in joining this Meet-Up; I posted this suggestion on two group sites. So far, this group hasn't really embraced it but the other group joined in pretty quickly. Feel free to RSVP, "Yes" if you don't mind that and we can all still meetup as one group. I'll post more details when it get's closer. Thanks!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
