Will this walking tour happen again or is there a self tour one can take? I really like the interactive map Vanessa posted, which is extremely helpful, but was wondering if there was more... I really wish I could have made this one...

i enjoyed walking, learning and connecting with new people. it was great to have some conversation and chocolate at cocoa cinnamon after the tour. one of the highlights for me wasn't even officially on the growth of mechanics and farmers bank and i think also, north carolina mutual life insurance company. here's a cool interactive map i found, too: http://mainstreet.lib.unc.edu/p....
also curious to read the book that Claire, the tour guide mentioned, The Best of Enemies. https://www.goodreads.com/book/s...

just noticed my typos...whoa. what i was trying to say was that the photographs outside the mechanics and farmers bank was one of the highlights for me and not even an official part of the tour.

Hey y'all. I'm still planning to go. If you are driving I would park at the YMCA on foster or at the Durham athletic park on corporation. Let's meet at the leaf. It's the woos structure in the park across the street from the market. Call if you can't find me. [masked]
