Sing Along at RED LEPRECHAUN with DublinPublic.com

UPDATE SENT TO THE FIRST 20 WHO RSVP'ed YES on the Tues morn before the event.

September is ThePrimeSpot.com's Anniversary Month and I wanted to do something DIFFERENT this year.  I can't remember the last time (or first time) I was invited to a Sing-Along.  WHO better to do that with than Shea Shizzle, the new organizer of the Long Beach Live Music Meetup (A "sister" to EXPLORE!)

DublinPublic.com is the name of Shea's band and the Red Leprechaun is one of Long Beach's newest Irish Bars!  The band lists the event as a "Family Sing-Along" and it IS a restaurant, so who you bring is up to you...

To learn more about Shea and figure out WHY I'd hand over my meetup group to him, feel free to read below - you'll also learn about LOCAL TV which YOU can be apart of ie. EXPLORE LONG BEACH TV?!

For Immediate Release

LONG BEACH INDEPENDENT is Local and Worldwide

ThePrimeSpot.TV (Long Beach, CA) ThePrimeSpot.TV is proud to announce that local entertainment website LONG BEACH INDEPENDENT is showcasing local talent of Long Beach, California on cable access TV. SHEA NEWKIRK, musician, web designer, and entertainment organizer and promoter has been sharing the local scene on the web and live in person since 2003.

To see the scope of coverage, just google his moniker "Shea Shizzle." Not only is this guru talented in promoting upcoming events, he has served Long Beach and its entertainers voluntarily for the past 10 years by videotaping gigs and events and sharing the shots via social media and his own website, LongBeachIndependent.com (formerly LBPP - Long Beach Party Project).

Long Beach has never had a site so cohesive showcasing local talent like Long Beach Independent. It contains photos, videos, a list of upcoming shows, venues, and even a newsletter. "Shizzle" also created a facebook page, "Long Beach Musicians" where artist can share resources, inside information, recommendations, post their needs and sometimes just let off some steam. Club562 recently handed over management to LB's "Live Music" MEETUP as a thank you for 10 years of creative, hard work, benefitting not only artists but local businesses, tourism, and of course Long Beach as a whole.

To fund Shea's passion for bringing the music community together - local and touring musicians AND music lovers of many genres - he earns a living by designing graphics and websites for artists, restaurants, companies, products, cities, NOT exclusive to Long Beach. Check out his portfolio on LBwebdesigner.com

Adding Community Television as an outlet only seemed natural for "LBI." Padnet.TV just restarted cable access in Long Beach on Verizon Channel 41 and Charter Channel 32. Since Newkirk is NOT a proponent for "pay to play", the producer fee was covered by a "promoter of promoters"; content includes clips of songs from various artists playing in Long Beach, affectionately known as "The LBC." Newkirk's gifted Meetup page also has a sponsor.

If you're unable to catch the clips on TV or Video on Demand, you can always browse videos on his entertainment promotions website, LongBeachIndependent.com

And don't forget to check out Shea's own band, DublinPublic.com hidden among all of the LOCAL talent, products and services that make up Long Beach Independent www.LongBeachIndependent.com

I only saw 7 people who RSVP'd yes. Who saw double and triple? Thanks to Diana for pointing out that Ramsey updated his RSVP. And to Steve who commented on the HOT night - the therm was set to 73 degrees! And to Sue, Jo Marie and Lisa for your follow-thru. You girls rule!

I really wanted to stay. The band sounded great!

It's so simple...don't RSVP unless you plan to go. If you can't go, barring a true emergency, get online and change your RSVP. Makes it miserable to be an organizer with all the flaking.

I didn't stay because it was too hot. They need to fix their air conditioning, or I will wait for cooler weather to frequent this establishment.
