What we’re about

Join other like-minded dog walkers for guided walks in some of the UK's most stunning countryside, with the security of knowing that each of the walks has been specially created for off-lead dogs.

Our walking areas are: The Cotswolds (Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire); Shakespeare Country (Warwickshire/Gloucestershire) Exmoor / Wales (alternate years) and the White Peak National Park (Derbyshire, Staffordshire). Day walks are usually in the Chilterns and Cotswolds.
The walks are created especially for dogs. So you'll encounter as few stiles, cows or sheep as possible, and road walking is avoided too. We often take a lunch break at a traditional dog-friendly country pub - ideal for enjoying a excellent rural food with new friends while the dogs snooze under the table.

A typical walk will have lots for dogs to sniff, plenty of space for doggie romping, and lovely fresh-water streams for swimming. Because the emphasis is on the dogs' needs, we have time to enjoy the views, chat, and make the most of the day. The walking time plus pub or picnic break is usually between 5 and 7 hours - a full day.

Weather: walks go ahead whatever the weather - unless it would be dangerous. In torrential rain or unusually hot weather the routes may be shortened on the day.
Accommodation: we provide lists of dog-friendly places to stay close to the start of each walk so you can book the type of accommodation you prefer. From tents, pubs, self-catering cottages, hotels or luxury B&Bs the choice is yours! Wherever possible we base the walks around a village offering plenty of dog-friendly accommodation so that we can be 'neighbours' for the weekend, and share a group meal on the Saturday evening.

There is a small charge per person for the walks. This is to cover the cost of running the Meetup site events and to raise funds for The Cinammon Trust - a charity who support elderly people and their dogs. They do a wonderful job and we're proud to support them.
This group has a Code of Conduct which members are kindly requested to familiarise themselves with before joining walks. The most important points are that your dog must be over 12 months old, have good recall, decent social skills with other dogs/people, and be used to walking off-lead.
