This event is with Downtown Raleigh Marketing or #DTRM for you twittiots! Here is a summary of the event.

You’ve got a great story…well, at least it’s great to you. But is your story really compelling? Has it been crafted well? And if so, how do you get the media to pay attention? Crafting a compelling story is often a challenge. There are so many signals out there, so how do you get yours to stand out?

In this meetup we’ll hear from some of our media leaders in the area. They’ll talk about what it takes to make your story newsworthy. You’ll have an opportunity to learn how to make your story stand out.  You’ll also have an opportunity to meet some of Raleigh’s most progressive media personalities in person.

This is the 3rd event for the folks at DTRM. The first two events were quite successful. The first was at SpyRaleigh and filled about every seat in the house and the second was televised by WRAL. They always have quality speakers who know their stuff. There is a suggested $5 donation that will go to a local charity. If you have an interest in marketing this is a great place to rub some elbows.

    It's a cross between a social networking event and learning opportunity for people in the marketing field. You don't have to be a marketer to enjoy yourself and learn something but if you have an interest it will be more enjoyable. I enjoyed the first couple events of DTRM so I thought I would offer it to people in the group.
