Planning our first float of the season on the Comal (Guadalupe hasn't received enough rain for steady flow) since the container law has been lifted. (Yes, you can bring your beer cans now!)
Let's meet near the sign in the Academy Sporting Goods parking lot at William Cannon & I35 at 10 a.m. for carpooling. If you'd prefer to meet us there, plan on our arrival at 11 a.m. I'll send my cell number out as time draws near
We'll take the gentle 2.5 hour float out of Landa Falls (On the Wurstfest grounds) easier parking and we're near The Gristmill for afterwards. Tube rentals are $15 on weekends, I strongly recommend the yellow ones, they stay cooler. The Comal is spring fed, with few rocky areas. A tube bottom isn't needed. http://landafalls.com/#services
If you've not done this before, I urge you to try it. It's low key, relaxing and no one cares what you look like (ladies.... ).
I like to bring wine in a sipping thermos, trail mix, a sandwich and fruit in a personal dry bag. Makes life pleasant and it's simple. We'll head over to The Gristmill for their fantastic bloody Mary's and a late lunch afterwards!
This is my favorite Meetup outing!!!
